This internship offers a unique opportunity for civil engineering students to gain hands-on experience in construction management and preservation of landmark buildings in a leading firm in architectural conservation and historic restoration. Interns will support project execution from planning through on-site implementation and will work alongside seasoned artisans, engineers, and project managers at one of the most respected firms in the field.

Aufgaben

• Assist project managers with reviewing architectural drawings and specifications
• Participate in the coordination of construction timelines and deliverables
• Aid in procurement and tracking of building materials and specialty subcontractors
• Support the preparation of shop drawings using AutoCAD or similar software
• Observe and assist in fieldwork involving structural conservation of wood, metal, and stone
• Help document construction procedures, site progress, and quality assurance steps
• Contribute to project documentation including submittals, reports, and punch lists
• Shadow experienced professionals during client meetings and on-site walkthroughs

Qualifikationen / Voraussetzungen

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management
• Strong interest in architectural restoration, materials science, and heritage preservation
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or drafting software preferred
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
• Willingness to travel locally for site visits and inspection
