Aufgaben

Im Kindergarten:

1. Assisting Classroom Teachers: Collaborate with experienced educators to plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
2. Facilitating Learning: Engage students in interactive learning experiences, including storytelling, arts and crafts, games, and educational songs, to enhance their language, literacy, and numeracy skills.
3. Creating a Safe and Inclusive Environment: Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where every child feels valued, respected, and encouraged to participate.
4. Individualized Support: Provide one-on-one assistance to students who may require additional help or guidance to overcome learning challenges or language barriers.
5. Promoting Health and Hygiene: Educate students on the importance of personal hygiene practices, such as handwashing and dental care, to promote overall health and well-being.
6. Cultural Exchange: Embrace the opportunity to immerse yourself in Sri Lankan culture, learning from local teachers, students, and community members, while also sharing your own cultural background and experiences with others.

In der Schule:

1. Delivering Engaging Lessons: Plan and conduct dynamic English language lessons tailored to the needs and proficiency levels of adolescent learners, utilizing a variety of interactive teaching methods and resources.
2. Improving Language Proficiency: Focus on developing students' listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills through structured activities, games, role-plays, and real-life scenarios, aiming for gradual improvement and fluency.
3. Cultural Exchange: Facilitate cultural exchange opportunities by incorporating aspects of Sri Lankan culture and traditions into English lessons, while also encouraging students to share their own cultural backgrounds and experiences.
4. Individualized Support: Provide personalized assistance and encouragement to students who may struggle with certain language concepts or require additional support to overcome language barriers.
5. Promoting Confidence and Participation: Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves in English, encouraging active participation and fostering a sense of achievement.
6. Monitoring Progress: Assess students' language proficiency regularly through informal observations, quizzes, and tests, and provide constructive feedback to guide their learning journey and track their progress over time.
7. Encouraging Lifelong Learning: Inspire a passion for lifelong learning and language acquisition by instilling curiosity, critical thinking skills, and a growth mindset among students, motivating them to continue their English language studies beyond the classroom.
