Malta: Civil engineering testing internship

Stellenbeschreibung

In this internship, you will support a civil engineering team with material and structural testing as well as the calibration of measuring equipment and instruments. You will gain hands-on experience in quality assurance processes and learn how test results feed into real construction and infrastructure projects.

Aufgaben

• Conducting material tests (e.g. concrete, soil, asphalt samples)
• Calibrating and maintaining measuring instruments and testing equipment
• Documenting and evaluating test results
• Assisting with on-site inspections and structural assessments
• Supporting quality control and assurance procedures
• Preparing technical reports and test protocols
• Operating laboratory equipment under supervision
• Assisting with load, pressure, and stress testing
• Recording and processing measurement data
• Supporting compliance checks against engineering standards and norms

Qualifikationen / Voraussetzungen

Required

• Enrollment in a civil engineering, construction engineering, or related degree programme
• Basic understanding of construction materials and structural principles
• Good command of English (written and spoken)

Beneficial

• Familiarity with technical standards and norms (e.g. Eurocodes, ISO)
• Experience with CAD software or data analysis tools
• Lab or fieldwork experience (e.g. from university courses)
• Good attention to detail and a structured working style
