This internship at a family-owned travel agency in the Netherlands offers you the chance to dive into the day-to-day operations of a small but passionate team. From customer service and trip planning to marketing support and office administration – you\'ll gain valuable insights into how a local travel business runs and help create unforgettable journeys for clients.
Aufgaben
The tasks will depend on the intern´s willingness to learn and motivation. However, here are some tasks you can expect to be doing during your internship:
- Assisting with travel inquiries and customer communication (via email, phone, or in-person)
- Supporting the planning and booking of travel packages (flights, hotels, tours, etc.)
- Researching destinations, accommodations, and activities for client proposals
- Creating and updating travel itineraries and documents
- Helping with marketing activities (e.g. social media posts, newsletters, website content)
- Maintaining the customer database and filing travel-related documents
- Assisting with invoicing and general office administration
- Participating in team meetings and brainstorming sessions
- Keeping brochures and promotional materials up to date
- Learning about the Dutch tourism market and customer preferences
Qualifikationen / Voraussetzungen
- 18+
- Good communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus, but not required)
- Interest in travel, tourism, and customer service
- Friendly, professional, and service-oriented attitude
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a small team
- Creativity for supporting marketing and social media tasks
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or travel (a plus, but not mandatory)
